Not many people know about a 25 Hour endurance automobile race in Willows, CA. But for those who do there’s almost a cult-like following. Our client CA Sport is one of that small group. Specializing in building race cars and running a race team, this Salt Lake City motorsports powerhouse accomplished quite a lot at the 2014 running of the 25 Hours of Thunderhill.
This race is the longest race in North America and pits race-prepared cars – ranging from Minis and Miatas to BMW’s and Mustangs – against one another for a grueling test of endurance for car and driver alike. Arriving at the event with both a BMW and a Nissan 370Z, CA Sport and their team of drivers set out to run the cars for 25 hours straight in the extreme conditions of a race environment.
For our part, Vistral supported our client with team building and branding services including team jacket design and procurement as well as both race car liveries. We knew the team would race well and we wanted to be sure they looked good doing it! Wearing a team jacket built a sense of unity and pride among the drivers and crew. We also helped manage the team’s sponsors and supporters. The race car liveries included the team’s amazing sponsors who provided funding, parts, and moral support. One of the sponsors, aFe Power even made late night runs to the store for coffee and snacks to fuel the team through the night!
For all of this preparation, the team raced both cars, non stop, lap after lap for 25 hours straight to turn in two podium finishes! We are so proud of the CA Sport drivers and crew who took the BMW to 2nd place and the Nissan which took 3rd. So many things can go wrong in a 25 hour race and CA Sport got it done! Many thanks go out to the amazing sponsor support of aFe Power, Takeda, Skullcandy, and Motul.
Vistral is so proud of the efforts and talents of our client and we look forward to the next adventure!
